The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Ioannis Kasoulides, will travel to Paris, where on Monday, June 27, he will hold a bilateral meeting with the new French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mr Jean-Yves Le Drian.
The discussions will focus on the latest developments in the Cyprus problem, due to the presence of France in the UN Security Council as well in the TOTAL energy program in the Republic’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). Moreover, the progress of deepening the strategic cooperation of the two countries and regional issues will be discussed and views on Brexit will be exchanged.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs will also hold a meeting with the French President’s diplomatic adviser and the new Minister for European Affairs, Mrs Nathalie Loiseau.
Minister Kasoulides has also been invited by TOTAL for a meeting with the company’s senior executives, which will review the company’s drilling program in Cyprus’ EEZ./IBNA
