“The Lobster” nominated for 4 awards of the European Academy of Cinema

With four nominations in key categories of the awards of the European Film Academy, “The Lobster” of Yorgos Lanthimos starts in the best way… the season of awards, which is not impossible to lead up to the Oscars.

“The Youth” of Paolo Sorrentino has the most nominations, having been nominated for five, followed by Yorgos Lanthimos’s film, with four nominations (the same number as Roy Anderson’s “A Dove Sat on a Branch Reflecting its Existence”).

Lanthimos’ film contests for Best European Film, Best Director (Yorgos Lanthimos), Screenplay (Lanthimos, Philippou) and Actor (Colin Farrell).

At the same time, the film of Kosntantina Kotzamani “Washingtonia” was nominated in the category of short film.

The award ceremony will take place on December 12 in Berlin.
