The Libyan Presidential Council and the Turkish Parliament have ratified the Memorandums of Understanding on Security and Maritime Cooperation, according to Libyan press reports.
The Libyan Presidential Council has approved the Memorandums of Understanding on Security and Maritime Cooperation with Turkey.
The Presidential Council of the Government of National Agreement (GNA) has stated that the Memorandums of Understanding signed with Turkey will be in force from 05 December 2019.
This came after the Turkish parliament approved a memorandum of co-operation with Libya at a meeting Thursday, as the parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee voted on the deal Thursday morning.
The Libyan ambassador to Athens is reportedly due to be summoned to the Greek Foreign Ministry on Friday to be told that he is a persona non grata and be expelled from Greece./ibna
