The head of the Albanian Intelligent Services (SHISH), Visho Ajazi has handed his resignation from this post. Let us recall that he was appointed in this position five years ago, in August 2012.
Meanwhile, in order to find his predecessor, Prime Minister Edi Rama has held a meeting with the President of Republic, Ilir Meta.
The current deputy director of this institution, Helidon Bendo, who works for the Albanian Intelligent Services for the past 21 years, has been appointed as acting director.
On the other hand, the opposition has reacted on these sudden movements. The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha has called on PM Edi Rama not to put pressure on the Prosecution.
“Rama should not put pressure on the Prosecution. He’s putting pressure to defend himself and his collaborators”, Basha said, alluding that the resignation of head of the Albanian Intelligent Services, Visho Ajazi Lika, has come following political pressure. /balkaneu.com/
