Debates continue in Kosovo regarding the initiative to repeal the Special Court and the consequences that this will have for the country should such initiative come into effect.
Government officials are now talking about the consequences warned by western diplomats who are against any possibility of undoing the court. In a discussion over this issue, Self Determination said that the consequences of the repeal of this court would be even more serious than the injustice of setting up the court in the first place.
Foreign minister Behgjet Pacolli declared while reporting in front of parliamentary committee on foreign affairs, that such warnings are constantly being repeated by diplomats.
“These initiatives must come to an end, because they are fatal for Kosovo”, Mr. Pacolli said.
Meanwhile, in a roundtable hosted by Self Determination Party dubbed “Specialized Chambers and the relations with the institutions of Kosovo”, participants said that despite the injustices brought by the creation of the Special Court, the consequences of undoing it would be even greater. /balkaneu.com/
