Leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci has invited leaders of opposition parties to reflect in order to overcome the political crisis and form institutions based on the June 8 election results.
After participating in the regional conference called “Border Security”, organized on Tuesday by Customs and Police of Kosovo, PM Thaci has responded to questions addressed by journalists on the current political crisis.
He said that the only way out of this political situation is communication and discussion of issues by leaders of parliamentary parties, in the framework of the engagement of president Atifete Jahjaga.
According to him, it’s in the best interest of the nation for all political leaders to put aside their personal and political interests.
The prime minister said that the political crisis must come to an end, because international partners, like he said, have started to address questions as to what is happening.
“It’s time to move forward and build stable institutions, which will work for the important agenda of development and integration of Kosovo”, declared Thaci.
Asked to comment on rumors about a possibility of a coalition between PDK and LDK, where Isa Mustafa becomes PM, while Thaci occupies the post of the president, once president’s Jahjaga term in office comes to an end, Thaci said that it’s good to talk about things.
“I’d like to reiterate that PDK insists to talk about things and negotiate, given that nobody can fulfill everything that he aspires at 100%. But, we will do our best in order to come to an agreement. The current deadlock can only be solved through talks”, said the PM. /ibna/
