Prime minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci has officially run for a third term in office as the prime minister of the country.

In an American like style, before his supporters in the House of Sports and Youth, he came out along with his wife, Lumnije Thaci and his son, Endrit.

This way, the head of PDK has involved for the first time his family in the electoral campaign.

All the family members talked about the beauty of the village of Buroja and the past of Hashim Thaci.

“He was a boy who never caused problems and who always had a book in his hand”. This was said by the father of Hashim Thaci, Haxhi, in a video clip during the PDK convention, where Thaci declared that he was running for prime minister.

Hashim thaci said that the request for a new mandate comes as a result of the fact that “nobody can better accomplish the plan for the welfare of the citizens”.

He reminded to the participants his contribution in the liberation of the country, the proclamation of the independence of Kosovo, the highway and airport, universities in all the cities of Kosovo, the recognition of the state of Kosovo, negotiations for the normalization of relations with Serbia and in this context, the preservation of the territorial integrity of the country.

Meanwhile, as far as the first two terms in office are concerned, Thaci said that they aimed at creating the state, its consolidation and international recognition.

Demanding the support of voters for a third term in office through the slogan “New Mission”, Thaci declared that his objective now is the economic development of the country and the creation of new jobs. “We must build a modern economy, where every citizen of Kosovo will have a job”, said Thaci.

According to him, this mission has the same importance as the missions that have been accomplished so far.

“The first two missions focused on building the state. This New Mission has to do with you”, said Thaci.

The current prime minister mentioned 1,5 billion Euros for which he said that they will be used for the economic development of the country, employment and the creation of 200 thousand new jobs, which according to him, will be made possible during the third government term. /ibna/
