Upon the invitation of his French counterpart, Manuel Vals, Albanian Prime Minister held today an official visit to Paris. Rama was received at the seat of the French government by PM Valls.
Rama expressed to the French PM the solidarity and support of the Albanian government in the joint fight against terrorism, the most serious threat against human values in the world.
On his part, the French PM, Valls, praised the reforms undertaken by the Albanian government and considered the opening of negotiations as a positive approach. Valls said that France strongly supports Albania in its path to the EU.
Cooperation in the domain of culture was one of the topics of discussion. The French PM was particularly interested on the Albanian incentives for youth exchanges, where Albania with its tradition of peaceful cohabitation of religions, is an inspiring example for a youth without complexions toward other religious beliefs. Meanwhile, France will host the 2016 Paris Conference and it demands Albania to play a key role.
After this, PM Rama and his French counterpart Valls held a tête-à-tête meeting in the gardens of Matignon. /ibna/
