As a result of tax policies which have not been suitable for businesses in Kosovo, the country has constantly lost competitive power for its products and new investments.
This was said by the Kosovo Business Alliance during a debate between national businesses and Minister of Commerce and Industry, Hykmete Bajrami, dubbed “Government of Kosovo and economic development”.
Some domestic producers said that the new tax package is not meeting their demands and government representatives agreed and said that they will be overcome.
Head of the Kosovo Business Alliance, Agim Shahini, stressed that the government of Kosovo must be a permanent partner with businesses.
Shahini said that last year, there was a fall of investments and fewer exports. According to him, Mustafa’s government has great obligations toward the economy and the business.
Meanwhile, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Hykmete Bajrami, said that institutions and businesses are yet to adapt to the new tax package and this has caused several problems.
According to her, groups of experts are working in order for the new package to be applied without problems and in order for this to favor businesses. /ibna/
