TAIPED not satisfied with Elliniko development bid

Review Hari Stefanatos

The state privatisation fund TAIPED has asked from Lamda Development to raise its bid for the development of the old Athens airport Elliniko.

After a request from Lamda, the TAIPED board has given the constructiont company until Wednesday March 26 to submit an improved offer.

The price offered by Lamda has not been made public, and neither has the range of prices that independent surveyor Happold Consulting gave the fund, which was also unsealed on Wednesday.

TAIPED’s board will make its final decision on whether or not to accept the renewed offer by taking into account the reports from the financial consultants and TAIPED’s independent surveyor, as well as the recommendation of expert’s council.
