“I am not going to vote for the social security bill and the reforms against the farmers” said an MP of the governing party of SYRIZA, Mr. Giannis Michelogiannakis. “One can not ask from somebody who earns 1,000 euros to give 800 of them to the state”, he said.
The governing coalition (SYRIZA and ANEL) initially had 155 MPs (in a total of 300 seats), but lost 2 of them on November because they disagreed on the bill about foreclosures and red loans. So the coalition was left with 153 seats. If Michelogiannakis does not change his mind, the coalition will be left with 152.
