Greek authorities are in a state of alert after the terrorist attacks in Paris.

In the last 24 hours information sheets on the moves of persons of interest – for many different reasons – have been pilling up.

According to the daily “Ethnos”, teams of officers are on alert to “intervene” in the event that any suspicious persons are planning to take some kind of action.

According to the same information, under the microscope of the authorities has entered a place of prayer in Kallithea and a shop in the Neos Kosmos, where there are indications of the presence of people who might relate to extremists. The newspaper also reports that the Greek authorities are aware of a person from the Neos Kosmos who had left Syria to fight against Assad.

“There are some suspicious “cores” in our country, on a small scale. All services are vigilant and are intensifying their checks on profiles of suspects without any finds that show inconsistencies in relation to their movements”, said a competent source to Ethnos.
