The North Atlantic Alliance, NATO, praises the human contribution given by Albania in peacekeeping missions, but also the commitment and professionalism of its military.
This was said by NATO’s Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg in a meeting held with the minister of Defence, Olta Xhaçka.
During this meeting, Stoltenberg also praised Albania’s engagement to deliver its obligations concerning the budget allocated for defence.
“I briefed the Secretary General on Albania’s engagement to allocate 2% of its GDP to the domain of defence by 2024 and I reconfirmed our readiness to be more involved in all NATO and EU missions or even in the new national mission which relates to civil emergencies”, the Albanian minister said after the meeting. /balkaneu.com/
