“Stobi 2014” 13th international festival of ancient drama opened last night in the suburbs of the town of Veles, in the eastern part of FYR Macedonia.
The festival opened with the performance of the Turkish Theater from Skopje, with its play “The soldier”. The director of this theater, Atila Klince declared that they’re privileged that this time, they’re participating in this festival and for making its opening.
The director of the festival, Zoran Lutkov said this festival is special, because it enables art lovers to see a show that relates to the past, in a historical place such as the ancient amphitheater of Stob.
“The festival will last until July 24 and it will host performances by national theaters, but also by guests from Kazakhstan, who will play the drama ‘Medea’. This festival has shown that it’s becoming richer and richer every year”, declared Lutkov, adding that the festival will distribute awards for the participants. /ibna/
