For Shkodra, the biggest city in the north of Albania, last evening was a special one. The city inaugurated the new stadium, “Loro Borici” and enjoyed the first friendly match that the Albanian side played against Morocco.
Everything ended in a goalless draw, against a good team such as Morocco, in a match controlled well by Albania.
Sport critics said that the state of the team in this match was poor. The match was disappointing not only in terms of the result and the shape of the team, but also the inauguration of the stadium with empty seats. Very few fans filled the new stadium.
The match was played ahead of 5 September, when Albania will face FYROM for the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers. On 5 September, there will also be a second inauguration, an official inauguration of the new stadium. /balkaneu.com/
