Special Prosecution in FYR Macedonia published today a new investigation file and the main suspect of this case is former PM Nikola Gruevski.

The file which has been name coded “TNT” relates to the demolition of a building in the ownership of the businessman Fiat Canovski.

“This building was demolished against the law. This is more like political revenge. Nikola Gruevski and former minister of Transport and Communication, Mile Janakievski did this because Canovski and his party joined the opposition coalition of SDSM”, said prosecutor Fatime Fetai.

According to her, suspects of this case are also the mayor of Gazi Baba, Toni Trajkovski and a construction inspector, who have obeyed the orders of the former minister of Transport.

The building was demolished in August 2011 immediately after the early parliamentary elections. This scenario was revealed through the registered conversations made public by the Macedonian opposition. In these conversations, Gruevski demands the demolition of the building and for a park to be built in its place.

This investigation is being launched at a time when Gruevski and former minister Janakievski were pardoned by the president based on the constitutional decision, but the Special Prosecution says that it will act on this case by examining all legal possibilities.

In this press conference, prosecutor Fatime Fetai said that she has been threatened by people who do not want justice.

“They are people who are not interested in the rule of law and want to evade justice, but justice  will be done for everyone”, Fetai declared. /balkaneu.com/
