Soylu: “If we opened the Izmir route 30,000 refugees would escape in a single day”

Turkey’s Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu has once again argued that the EU does not comply with the agreement on the refugee issue.

He threatened the EU, saying that “if we opened Izmir today, 30 to 35 thousand people would cross. Let’s see what would happen if we opened Izmir. I’m not threatening Europe, I’m just saying”, he said!

He also claimed that after the coup attempt on July 15, 2016, 8000 Gulenists (FETO) fled to Greece. Turkey argues that members of FETO are behind the coup attempt against the Turkish president./ibna
