January has been a good year for Slovenia’s industrial production, registering a 8.8% production in January compared to the same month last year, with the positive trend that started in mid-2013 accelerating, says the country’s statistical authority.
The output value soared 11.3% in electricity, gas and steam supply, and 8.8% in manufacturing, while mining production dropped by 13.3%.
Sales revenue also rose, by 6.5% over the year before, as manufacturing sales rose 6.6% and mining sales went up by 3.6%.
The value of inventories dropped just by 0.2% year on year, despite being down 1.5% in December.
