President of Slovenia, Borut Pahor has expressed his willingness to support Kosovo’s involvement in international organizations and its integration. He also demanded Kosovo’s recognition by all the countries of the region and EU member countries.

“Even today, we support Kosovo objective to be recognized diplomatically by all countries, especially neighboring countries and to be involved in all international organizations”, declared Pahor at the opening of the Economic Forum between Kosovo and Slovenia, during the visit of the president of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci in Ljubljana.

Pahor has also talked about the importance of the economic development of Kosovo.

“It is important that by encouraging the development of the country, Kosovo regulates bilateral relations with its neighbors, namely with Serbia and to build a transparent economy, through which it would make important steps forward toward EU and NATO integration”, says the Slovenian president.

On the other hand, Thaci said that Kosovo will be integrated in the EU and NATO, but according to him, “this demands time and reforms in this aspect will continue”.

President Thaci said that Slovenia, as the second biggest investor in Kosovo, is an important economic partner for Kosovo.

“The Stabilization and Association Agreement and the involvement in the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) confirm Kosovo’s commitment in undertaking deep economic and political reforms”, Thaci declared. /
