The biggest reshuffle of the Alenka Bratušek government has been completed with the confirmation vote that the three new minister received at the plenary session of the National Assembly, on Monday.
Metod Dragonja has been nominated for economy minister, while Alenka Trop Skaza for health minister, both of whom have been put forward by the Positive Slovenia party (PS) after Stanko Stepišnik’s and Tomaž Gantar’s resignasions respectively, in November.
Gorazd Žmavc has been nominated for minister for Slovenian’s abroad and will be called to replace Tina Komel who stepped down just last week to make room for a cabinet member from the Pensioners’ Party (DeSUS), since Gantar who had resigned from health minister represented DeSUS in the government.
All three candidates have been cleared from the relevant committees and their hearings suggest they will largely continue the work of their predecessors.
