Slovenia ratifies the NATO Accession Protocol

Today, Republic of Slovenia ratified North Macedonia’s NATO Accession Protocol. Slovenia thus becomes the second country of the alliance, after Greece, to ratify the Protocol for the accession of the country in the NATO under its new constitutional name, North Macedonia.

North Macedonia’s parliamentary speaker, Talat Xhaferi, who is on an official visit to Ljubljana, delivered a speech before the voting took place. Xhaferi expressed his gratitude on behalf of North Macedonia’s parliament and the citizens of the country. According to Xhaferi, once again this shows that there are no pending issues between the two parliaments, which have managed to build excellent bilateral relations. /ibna/
