Slovakia is interested in several ambitious projects of the government of Albania which relate to infrastructure. Minister of Economic Development, Commerce and Enterprise, Mr. Arben Ahmetaj held an official visit to Slovakia, where during the meeting with his Slovak counterpart, he made a presentation of all the strategic projects of Albania in the domain of transport, energy, tourism and infrastructure.
Important investment projects such as the Road of Arber, Blue Highway, Port of Shengjin, were seen with interest by the Slovaks.
The minister says that he invited Slovak businesses to Albania, stressing the importance of this moment and the incentives, reforms and will of the Albanian government for the improvement of the business climate in the country.
The textile industry was another important topic of discussion of the meeting. Ahmetaj said that the interest of foreign investors in this sector is increasingly growing, based on the advantages that Albania has in terms of low cost of labor, competitiveness of the country and proximity with almost all big markets.
Slovak minister Tomas Malatinsky has proposed the holding of a joint business forum which would open up new opportunities of communication and cooperation between businesses and enterprises in both countries.
This idea was supported by Ahmetaj, who invited Slovak businesses to also participate in the Investment Forum which will be hosted on May 12 in Vienna.
There was also an idea about holding a Tourism Fair, in which Slovak tourist operators can be acquainted with the tourist potentials of the country. /ibna/
