Skopje’s football club, Rabotnicki has been announced national champion, although the league is not over yet.
Following yesterday’s league fixtures in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Rabotnicki has been confirmed a winner.
Thus, Rabotnicki wins the fourth title of champion of its history. The club secured the title after beating EuroMilk.
It had been 5 years that Rabotnicki was fighting to bring the trophy back home and managed to do this in the 2013-2014 season.
The other two strongest teams, Vardar of Skopje and Shkendija of Tetovo, have managed to secure a chance to play in the Europa League.
Thanks to a 4-2 victory against Makedonija Gjorce Petrov, Renova managed to avoid relegation thus remaining in the superior league.
Horizont Turnova, Napredok and Gostivar were relegated. They will not be part of the national superior league next season, but instead, they will play in the second football league.
Rabotnicki from Skopje has also won the “Cup of Macedonia”, after defeating Metalurg in the final 2 goals to nil. /ibna/
