Skopje authorities are participating today in the NATO Summit in Cardiff, Wales, on a level of ministers, while the president and prime minister of the country will not participate there.
This important event will only be attended by the minister of Defense and minister of Foreign Affairs, Zoran Jolevski and Nikola Poposki.
The government and the presidency have not issued any explanations for the absence of Gruevski and Ivanov in this Summit. The minister of Defense, Jolevski will hold a speech in the meeting with the defense ministers, dedicated to the Platform for Inter Cooperation, while several bilateral meetings have been scheduled with his colleagues from the NATO member countries.
In the framework of this Summit, minister Poposki will participate in the session dedicated to the engagement of the Alliance in Afghanistan (ISAF format) at a level of heads of delegations from all NATO member countries and partner countries. A special session will be held in this summit at a level of foreign ministers and NATO member countries with NATO aspiring countries, such as FYROM, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Georgia. /ibna/
