The 8th edition of the international theater festival “Skopje Festival” is being held in Skopje.
Until November 6, the stage of the Youth Cultural Center and Theater of Comedy in Skopje will welcome shows from different Balkan and European countries, while the special show will be the premier of the theater project “Cemeteries for Boris Davidovic”, a Serb-Croatian and Slovenian joint production.
In the framework of this theater event, there will be performances by theater troops from Switzerland, Russia, Germany, Romania, Turkey and neighboring countries such as Albania, Bulgaria and a joint production between Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia.
The coordinator of the festival, Osman Ahmeti declared for IBNA that this festival has created a tradition and that this year’s shows consist on social, political and personal topics which have an impact in the very existence of man.
The festival opened with the show “All birds are there”, a joint production between Slahtaus Theater of Bern, Switzerland and Pokolenij Theater from Saint Petersburg, Russia. The festival will close with the premier of the show “Cemeteries for Boris Davidovitch”, a joint production of the most notable representatives of the independent cultural scene in the Balkan-Hartefakt Trust and Bitef theater from Belgrade, Novo Kazalishte from Zagreb, Mini Theater from Lubjana, Slovebnia, Zadar Snova from Zara, Croatia and CZKD from Belgrade. /ibna/
