Government in FYR Macedonia is preparing a feasibility study for the construction of the highway with Kosovo. Minister of Transport, Vlado Misajlovski said that the plan is to build the highway through a partnership between the state and private sector. According to this project, the highway’s length will be 13 km and it will link Skopje to Blace.
“We will try and implement this through a partnership between the public and private sector and then we will see how things move forward”, minister Misajlovski said.
Public-private partnership means that the project will be funded by a private company and the highway will be given to the company to manage it for a period of time. Once this period expires, the highway will go back to the state. So far, this model has not given any concrete results in FYROM. /ibna/
