Ahead of the early parliamentary elections, 13 political parties signed today in Skopje the Declaration for cooperation between young people. This agreement has been signed by youth forums of all political parties, with the exemption of VMRO-DPMNE of prime minister Nikola Gruevski.
According to the organizers, this declaration contributes to free and democratic elections. It also points out the role of the young people in these elections.
This declaration underlines that political parties must be engaged through parliament to improve the rights of young people.
“Parties and associations must be engaged to improve the positioning of the young people, by creating policies for young people in institutions and society, the creation of jobs and reduction of poverty, the improvement of legislation for the rights of youth and associations that protect their rights and cooperation between young people”, states the signed declaration.
The incentive has been launched by the National Youth Council in former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. This declaration has been immediately backed by 56 NGOs in the country. /ibna/
