One of the most prominent Macedonian academic figures, Svetomir Skaric has addressed a public letter to the VMRO-DPMNE presidential nominee, George Ivanov, where he says that he doesn’t deserve a second term in office.
Skaric, who is a former professor of the president of the country, Ivanov, says to his former student that the thesis for teamwork including the prime minister, ministers and MPs, is an attack against constitutional order.
“You have accepted without even thinking the thesis of team work where it’s good for the country to be part of the team consisting on MPs, prime minister , ministers and local government. You do not want to understand that this consists on a fusion of all powers, a feature of the socialist era. With such thesis, you attack the constitutional order of the country which is built based on the principle of the division of power”, writes the prominent professor in his letter.
In another part of the letter, Skaric also offers his reasons why Ivanov doesn’t deserve a second term in office, stressing that this candidate doesn’t have the necessary capacities to be the president of the country. /ibna/
