The Romanian ski resort of Sinaia, one of the most popular mountain resorts in the country, located in the Prahova Valley area, not far from Romania’s capital from Bucharest received the title of Romania’s Best Ski Resort 2017.
The World Ski Awards ceremony which took place in Austria “is the global initiative that recognizes, rewards, and celebrates excellence in ski tourism”, reports Romania-Insider.com. In the 2017 edition of the event, there were nine (9) resorts from Romania that competed for the title: Predeal, Ranca, Straja, Vatra Dornei, Vidra Transalpina, Arena Platos Paltinis, Azuga, Poiana Brasov, and Sinaia, according to Ziarulprahova.ro., with the winner being the latter. The mayor of Sinaia, Vlad Oprea was the person who received the award from the organisers.
