Shoes thrown against Main Opposition leader in Turkey

Leader of the Republican People’s Party of Turkey Kemal Kilicdaroglu had two shoes thrown at him during a panel in Ankara.

President of the main opposition was talking about the pension system in Turkey and had a discussion with pensioners.

At that moment the 40-year old Yunus Emrah began shouting “enough with this system; where are the solutions for the retirees?” and threw two shoes to Kilicdaroglu, which did not find their target.

The police immediately overpowered the man. According to preliminary information, the man has psychological problems and Kilicdaroglu asked the police not to treat the perpetrator badly.
