An essential condition for social welfare and development is the economic stability and competitiveness within the euro zone, according to the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV), while in a relevant announcement they say that the representatives of industry will submit a package of 25 measures for the production of internationally competitive products.
These conclusions resulted during the Council of Presidents of SEV and the Regional Industrial Federations (FING, SVTHKE, SVPDE, SVAP), held on Tuesday in the city of Volos.
In a relevant statement it is stressed that manufacturing companies support those actions made by the government to keep the country in the euro, to rebuild the Greek production base, restore social cohesion and promote the modernisation of institutions and attitudes.
Industry representatives also decided to submit a package of 25 proposals directly to the relevant Ministries “for the support of an industrial policy that aims to produce internationally competitive products by exploiting existing and attracting new investments”.
Finally, it is noted that the current economic uncertainty strangles the liquidity of firms, disproportionately burdens their operating costs, dramatically increases the risk for their survival, and prevents investment and employment growth.
