American analyst, Daniel Serwer declared that Pristina needs a solution in terms of its relations with Serbia, as this would give way to Kosovo’s accession in the United Nations and it would also wrap up its sovereignty.
In a conference hosted in Pristina, Mr. Serwer said that authorities in Kosovo are getting ready to make difficult compromises which will be required during the process for the normalization of relations with Serbia. He said that Kosovo needs partners until it meets its strategic goals. According to him, if the Special Court makes indictments, then the people who face these accusations should go to The Hague.
Speaking on the processes taken place in the Balkans, Serwer said that the Americans have tried not to make the same mistakes in Kosovo that they have made in Bosnia.
The American analyst also said that Kosovo, Serbia and Montenegro must use this moment that the EU has opened its doors to accession, before it closes them again. According to him, the rule of law is the main requirement that the Europeans have. /ibna/
