Serbia’s special war against Kosovo

Serbia’s special war against Kosovo

Serbia is leading a special war against Kosovo. This is the opinion that analysts have offered for IBNA, demanding from Kosovo to suspend its talks and take measures in response to these destructive actions.

Analyst Vilhard Shala says that after the numerous blockades that the Serb side has carried out, the talks for the normalization of relations between the two countries are meaningless now.

According to him, there can be no normalization of relations with a state which constantly shows a hostile approach.

“It’s been a while that Serbia has conducted an aggressive campaign to block Kosovo’s accession in international organizations. Then we had a wall in the north of the country. In the past few days, we had the arrest of a Kosovo politician with an arrest warrant which stems from Milosevic’s regime. Under these circumstances, dialogue is nonsense”, Shala says.

He also criticized the behavior of the Serb MPs in the parliament of Kosovo, who openly declare that they do not recognize the Prime Minister and the state of Kosovo.

According to Shala, political class in Kosovo must draft a new and joint agenda to continue talks with Serbia.

Meanwhile, analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu said that Kosovo must draft a strategy to respond to Serb scenarios.

“As a country, we must act against these destructive policies led by Serbia. To achieve this, we must use the help of our western allies and the economical aspect, by blocking Serb goods which have swarmed in the market of Kosovo”, he said.

Spahiu requests from Kosovo security authorities to be vigilant to Serb scenarios that can destabilize Kosovo.

He says that Serbia’s aggressive approach relates to geopolitical changes in the world.

Meanwhile,  the government of Kosovo has demanded from the European Union to mount pressure against Belgrade, in order not to damage the process of normalization of relations between the two countries and avoid destabilizing scenarios.

As far as dialogue is concerned, government of Kosovo is preparing several concrete measures to continue the implementation of the agreements that have been reached in Brussels.

“We have prepared several measures and if we see that Serbia abuses, we will activate the reciprocity measures”, minister for Dialogue, Edita Tahiri said. /
