The negotiations for Serbia’s accession in the EU require constant efforts to build good relations with Kosovo.
This was declared by the European Parliament Rapporteur on Serbia, David McAllister, commenting relations between Pristina and Belgrade.
“Normalization of relations must be in the best interest of the citizens of Serbia and Kosovo and is crucial to the preservation of peace and stability in the region”, said the European diplomat.
Asked if the EU will put pressure on Pristina for the creation of the Association of Serb Communes, McAllister declared that “the EU can force neither Serbia, nor Kosovo to take the incentive”.
McAllister has also praised the incentive launched by the Serb president, Aleksandar Vucic to launch internal dialogue on Kosovo. /balkaneu.com/
