A meeting was held today in Northern Mitrovica between the mayors and the councilors of 10 communes which have a Serbian majority in Kosovo.
At the beginning of this meeting, the minister of Local Government of Kosovo, Ivan Todosijevic, said that if the West and Pristina are not willing to form the Association of Serbian Communes, then the Serbs will do this on their own.
“If Pristina and the international community do not want to form the Association of Serbian Communes, we will take fate in our own hands and form the Association”, said Todosijevic.
The leader of the Serbian List, Goran Rakic said that with the Association, the Serb citizens will be able to obtain their rights.
“The Association is not against anybody. It will serve to all people in Kosovo. Police of the northern region and KFOR need to provide peace for everyone and not fall a victim of provocations, because we’re in favor of peace and dialogue. Nobody reacted after the terror that we went through and Vucic said that nobody will allow anything to happen to Serbs”, Rakic said. /balkaneu.com/
