Serbia: Second coronavirus case confirmed

The new website covid19.rs launched by the Serbian Ministry of Health announced that another outbreak of coronavirus has been confirmed. According to the announcement, on 9 March 2020 a second case of COVID19 was confirmed involving a Chinese national.

The first coronavirus case was reported on 6 March in Subotica; the patient was a man from Backa Topola. According to the latest information, his condition is stable.

“Tests have been carried out for a total of 101 people by the Torlak Institute’s National Reference Laboratory within 18 hours, fulfilling the criteria for defining the case. Since the last report until 6 pm on March 9, the authorities have announced the results of six more samples that were tested negative for coronavirus”. /ibna
