Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu will pay an official visit to Serbia today at the invitation of his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vulin.
Serbia is the first country that Minister Shoygu pays an official visit to after the reshuffle of the Government of the Russian Federation.
Following the reception at the Palata Srbije, the Russian Minister will become an Honorary Doctor of Defense University at Topcider Camp. with the Serbian Ministry of Defence. The ceremony will be organized in front of the Serbian Palace and an honorary doctorate from the Defence University will be awarded to Minister Shoigu at Topcider Camp, according to the Serbian Ministry of Defence.
Ministers Vulin and Shoygu will lay wreaths at the Belgrade Liberation Monument and the Red Army Monument and then place a capsule together at the “Eternal Fire” memorial plaque.
During the visit, the Serbian and Russian Defence ministers will hold a bilateral meeting, after which the ministers will visit the “Defence 78” exhibition at the Belgrade Museum of the City of Belgrade./ibna
