Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will be travelling to Belgrade on Tuesday (December 15th) to meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, according to diplomatic sources.
Vucic and Lavrov are expected to address the public after talks.
During his visit, the Russian Foreign Minister will also meet with his Serbian counterpart, Minister Nikola Selakovic.
As is customary for Russian officials, Lavrov will be visiting the Belgrade Liberators’ Monument, as well as the Church of St. Sava, and will lay a wreath at the tomb of Patriarch Irinej.
The visit was originally scheduled for late October, however the Russian minister was placed in quarantine shortly before his trip, after coming in contact with a person infected with the coronavirus. Consequently, all scheduled visits and meetings were postponed, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry’s press service. /ibna
