Pristina, June 17, 2013
Serbia is planning to pass a constitutional law in order to regulate the position of the Republic of Kosovo by treating it as an autonomous region in the framework of Serbia.
“Serbia will pass a constitutional law in order to regulate the position of the autonomous region in the framework of Serbia and will legalize the competences that this region currently has”, said Marko Gjuric, advisor to the Serb president, Tomislav Nikolic.
According to him, Serbia needs this law in order to implement the agreements that have been reached.
“In order to implement all the agreements in the domain of the justice system and police and also the political competences that Pristina currently has, we will pass a constitutional law through which we will regulate the relations between Belgrade and Pristina”, said Gjuric.
Gjuric has added that Serbia will continue to fund serb institutions in Kosovo until the establishment of the Serb associations of communes. He added that as of today, Serb communes start their formal functioning in preparatory phase and according to him, they can no longer be considered as illegal /ibna/
