On Tuesday, in Nis, an official delivery of medical equipment took place as a donation from the Government of Bulgaria to the Republic of Serbia.
More specifically, the donation includes 300 protective medical kits (reusable clothes, cornice and glasses) donated to health facilities in southern Serbia and to the hospital in Pancevo.
60 kits were donated to the Nis Clinical Center, Vranje Clinical Center and Pancevo General Hospital each. Surdulica Clinical Center, Pirot General Hospital and Leskovac General Hospital received 30 kits each, while the health centers in Babusnica, Bosilegrad and Dimitrovgrad received ten sets of the above equipment.
The handover ceremony was attended by the head of the administrative district of Nis Dragana Sotirovski, the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Serbia Radko Blajkov, the Mayor of Nis Darko Bulatovic and the Deputy Director of the Clinical Center of Nis Dr. Vladan Cosic.
During the ceremony, the speakers stressed the importance of cooperation and friendship between the two countries and mutual support both in the fight against the current pandemic and in other areas. Bulgaria’s unconditional support for Serbia’s European integration was also emphasized. Serbian Deputy Foreign Minister Ivica Tončev represented the Serbian Foreign Ministry. /ibna
