Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabić, when asked today about the negotiations with the opposition on the media and the election conditions and they are expected to kick off, said that as a representative of the executive power she will not be engaging in negotiations with the opposition, however that the SNS will hold talks.
“In general, I do not believe that the institutions are particularly strong when they negotiate with the non-parliamentary opposition. There are more than 2,000 political parties in Serbia, so you have to choose who is the “good and the bad of the opposition”. “I think we should respect all political parties,” she said, adding that the “red line” for the credibility of political parties is whether they are in parliament or not.
However, as he said, the position of the SNS is to participate in the dialogue, “so I hope that others will follow suit.”
“Many times they have called for dialogue, and each time they left. I guess this time everything will be “according to their preferences”, and so they will stay. When do I wait for talks to start? I am not in charge of this; there are bodies responsible for that,” Brnabić told Kragujevac.
When asked when she expects the completion of the works on the Kragujevac-Mrcajevci motorway and the airport in Ladjevci (Kraljevo) afterwards, she explained that they are currently working on the technical documentation of the project. “Once it is finished, the work will begin. I think this will be in 2022,” the Prime Minister of Serbia concluded. /ibna
