Albanian Football Federation has decided that no Serb fan will be allowed in the “Elbasan Arena” stadium in the match between Albania and Serbia.
The decision comes one week ahead of the football match between Albania and Serbia, in the framework of the France Euro 2016 qualifying matches.
The general secretary of the Albanian Football Federation, Ilir Shulku, has confirmed in a news conference, (photo) the decision taken in the framework of the measures for the match between Albania and Serbia, which will be played on 8 October in Elbasan, 38 km from the capital, Tirana.
He said that in spite of this, a group of students from Serbia will be present in the stadium.
“In the stadium, there will be around 70 Serb students, who come to Albania for a number of activities with Albanian students. Among these events, they have also planned on following the match from the stadium”, Shulku said.
The stadium has a capacity of around 12,700 seats, while there were over 100 thousand demands for tickets. This led to the tickets to be sold in the black market with prices ranging up to five thousand euros for a ticket. /ibna/
