A group of Serb cinematographers has demanded from the Serb government to allocate a fund for the production of moves which will “reaffirm the status of Kosovo and Metohia in the framework of the Republic of Kosovo”.
On top of the request with the signature of 40 film producers in Serbia, are the names of film producers like Emir Kusturica and Dragan Bjelogrlic.
The request follows a declaration issued by the Serb minister of Culture, Ivan Tasovac, who said that “culture and violence are two basic language through which a state communicates inside and outside of it”.
The news on the incentive of the Serb artists has been distributed by Serb media.
This incentive has been seen by Kosovo institutions as a continuation of the totalitarian mentality which is still alive in several circles in Serbia by several pseudo artists who instead of art, they choose propaganda.
If the minister of Culture of Serbia positively responds to the request, every two years, the Serb state must fund a long artistic movie, a documentary or an animated movie, which deals with “Kosovo as part of Serbia, Serb cultural heritage in Kosovo” or “the challenges of non Albanian inhabitants and Serb Orthodox Church”. /ibna/
