Strugë, April 25, 2013, by Naser Pajaziti-Ziadin Sela officially took over office today as mayor of the commune of Strugë, after the electoral race against the joint candidate of the Macedonian parties.
Solemnly, Sela received today the certificate issued by the Communal Electoral Commission as the newly elected mayor of Strugë. In his first public declaration, he said that he will be the mayor of all the citizens of this commune, regardless of their ethnicity, religion or political convictions.
“I hope and wish for such festive atmosphere to rule even during the election day. Today I’m mayor of all the citizens of Strugë and I shall use this mandate for the best interest of all, regardless of their ethnicity, religion or political convictions. I hope that in four years time, we will see a different image of Strugë”, said the new mayor of Strugë.
Ziadin Sela takes over the mayor of Strugë after running as the candidate of PDSH and defeating the candidate of Macedonian parties, Vladimir Koçoski by 6 thousand votes. For the past 8 years, the commune of Strugë had been led by Ramiz Merko, candidate of BDI. /ibna/
