We expect that the formal process of the ratification of North Macedonia’s NATO accession protocol will be formally brought to the Spanish National Assembly next week. Given that the election for a new Spanish government is over, the “doors” have been opened for this process and hopefully it will be completed in a few weeks, said Defence Minister Radmila Sekerinska.
Responding to a question about the expected ratification of the NATO Accession Protocol by Spain, Sekerinska stressed that ratification procedures in that country are not fast, expressing the expectation for a strong support from the Spanish institutions.
“If you look at the financial ratios last year, one and a half years, you will see that in addition to the huge increase in foreign direct investment and the increase in the number of employees, our stock market shows that our membership in NATO is driving the economy. We want this to continue. When we saw this year’s increase in the number of tourists in the country, along with these movements in the stock market, we saw that our political investment also brings economic benefits”, Sekerinska pointed out/ibna
