The government of Kosovo and government of Holland have signed an agreement regarding the seat of the Special Tribunal on War Crimes. The news has been confirmed by Kosovo’s PM, Isa Mustafa.
“The agreement has been reached ten days ago between a work group from the government of Kosovo and representatives of the Dutch government, with the brokerage of the European Union”, Mustafa said during a news conference in Pristina.
This tribunal is expected to try allegations of war crimes during the last war in Kosovo. Another office of this tribunal will also be situated in Pristina.
The prime minister has also talked about the developments that have accompanied Kosovo this year.
“This year has faced Kosovo with many challenges. The governing coalition has been stable and it has managed to overcome several situations by taking important decisions. We have been careful to continue with the European agenda, in order for us to meet the EU criteria”, Mustafa said. /ibna
