Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa says that the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) will come in force next month and this agreement will be open up good possibilities for Kosovo producers.
Mustafa said that products Made in K osovo will penetrate without any restrictions in a market of over 508 million consumers and that big opportunities of partnership will open up.
“Official statistics say that the export of agricultural produces has risen around 6% in 2015 at 41,6% million euros and domestic consumption of agricultural products has also increased”, Mustafa declared.
“These figures clearly show that our economic policies, especially those ones relating to taxes and agriculture are yielding tangible results. Last year we supported agricultural businesses with 43 million euros, while this year, this support will be bigger”, the prime minister said.
According to the ministry of Agriculture, around 2000 jobs are estimated to have been created in this sector last year, while this year, this number is expected to be bigger.
The government of Kosovo says that it will continue to support agriculture and processing of food products, as the most important sectors for the strengthening of domestic production and the creation of new jobs. /ibna/
