Russia’s ambassador to Belgrade Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko said that “the incredible publications of the Danas newspaper” alleging that Russian President Vladimir Putin had canceled a visit to Belgrade at the invitation of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, were a case of utter and irresponsible fabrication.
The report notes that the cancellation of the Russian President’s visit to Belgrade represented Vladimir Putin’s reaction to the latest developments and the tightening of the Serbian-US relations.
“This is nowhere near the truth and constitutes a case of utter and irresponsible fabrication”, Kharchenko posted on Twitter.
He stressed that the presidents of Russia and Serbia are in constant and substantial contact, and that they always coordinate their movements.
“Once the time comes, everything will be officially revealed”, Kharchenko added
Vladimir Putin was scheduled to visit Serbia on October 20th to attend the Belgrade Liberation Day celebrations and the St. Sava Temple ceremony. /ibna
