European enlargement commissioner, Johannes Hahn held a meeting in Brussels with Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, Hashim Thaci, where he called for a continuation of talks between Kosovo and Serbia, with the brokerage of the European Union.

Mentioning the obligations that Kosovo has about the Stabilization and Association Agreement and the liberalization of the visa regime for the citizens of Kosovo, Hahn said that “the rule of law continues to be a priority and Kosovo must show that it’s committed to offer concrete results in the fight against organized crime and corruption”.

“Kosovo must offer results in the electoral, economic and public administration reform”, said Hahn, who also announced that he will visit Kosovo at the beginning of next year.

On his party, Thaci said the institutions of Kosovo are committed to implement the Brussels Agreement.

“The process of the visa liberalization will be one of the main priorities for Kosovo and Kosovo will meet all the obligations stemming from it”, said Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, underlining the engagement of the country about the talks with Serbia. /ibna/
