Prime Minister Victor Ponta has been summoned to appear before Supreme Court Justices on November the 6th. Ponta will be questioned in connection with charges of forgery, tax evasion and money laundering. He can show the preliminary chamber Judge any requests and exemptions to be taken into consideration before the Court decides on the merits of the case.
The National Anti-corruption Directorate (DNA) started a criminal investigation against Ponta in June for crimes he allegedly committed during his activity as a lawyer. Victor Ponta did not show up at the Supreme Court last month for the preliminary hearings in his trial.
